My xbox 360 game cracked
Original game discs will work and you can play offline as far as I know. You will however need to have the update on your Xbox that allows for original Xbox emulation. Xbox consoles use a laser to gather data from the surface of your Xbox game discs.
If your disc is scratched, the laser is refracted and will result in skipping or a failure to play. The Xbox may have launched back in — a time when DVD rentals were still big business — but it nonetheless offers full support for the likes of Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Video. When the Xbox launched in North America Xbox games were supported while in Europe games were supported. The Japanese market had the fewest titles supported at launch with only 12 games.
The CR4 XL is the preffered chip for these dashboards. And finally, Visually determining your DVD drive. Don't use the original case it came in.
My Black Ops disk has a broken centre but still works fine. I just gotta be careful now. Once the crack appears there is nothing that can be done to reverse the damage. I would suggest contacting Xbox support by phone they can instruct you on how to get the disc replaced through the disc replacement program. Depends on the game though, as I understand it Microsoft will only replace, at cost, their own published games. In terms of cracked discs, I suck with Steelbook cases. My Gears of War 2 disc and one of my Mass Effect 2 discs has a small crack in the centre as well.
Yes that is true. That Happened to me too! I was playing Kinect sports and when I took it out I was actully chipped in the centre but not the data! I ignored it, and it still works that was 6 months ago. I've been noticing these cracks more often with the newer Xbox game cases.
A combination of the lesser materials of the case and the bending of the disc when removing adds to likeliness of it happening. This thread is locked.
