And in fact, your PXA drive may work fine with a conductor cable. Be sure to use the conductor cable. So if you have an older conductor cable, replace it with the conductor cable that came with your Plextor drive. Many computers from major manufacturers use special Cable Select cables.

The Cable Select cable typically has markings that identify the connectors for Master, Slave, and Motherboard.
